My favorite go to style is basically a T-shirt and jeans with flats as I wore in this post. Been too lazy to do anything to my natural hair lately so I decided to tie a scarf today. This white T-shirt and jeans seemed great for a casual Wednesday look.

Did you know until the Renaissance, some form of cover for the hair was regarded as appropriate for married women in most European cultures to show modesty and indicate marital status? However, for unmarried women it was considered appropriate to display their hair to attract suitors.

Anyway, on to how to tie Ankara scarf. This is my type of top knot turban style. You can make use of any scarf for this style, however the scarf should be one that can be folded into a triangle.

Step 1.
Smooth the scarf and fold it into a triangle. (Kindly ignore my hair)

Step 2. Place it on your head and grab the two ends of the scarf. The vertex at the tip should be placed in the middle.

Step 3. Tie the two ends together.

Step 4. Tuck the vertex into the middle part of the two ends.
