The Colours And Grey Ibadan Bloggers Forum
Interacting with bloggers and getting to meet new people is indeed a great feeling. Back in August, I was present at The Blogger Point bloggers brunch which I talked about here. I was also present at The Colours And Grey bloggers forum 2 which took place on September 24 at Capital Square in Ikoyi, Lagos. I travelled down to Lagos from Ibadan for the event and I wasn’t disappointed as I learned a lot regarding WordPress, SEO and Google Adsense. I’m really starting to dig this blogging thing.
Apparently, Grace of The Shanyi Life talked to Alice and convinced her to organize an Ibadan edition. It took place last week Saturday and we paid N2000 for the event. The dress code for the event was denim with a touch of Ankara (same as the Lagos’ edition). I wore an Ankara inspired T-shirt made by Beadornedbyyettie and ripped jeans with white sneakers for the Lagos edition. I didn’t get to take much pictures as I was somewhat agitated about the trip back to the mainland.
For the Ibadan edition, I wore a white T-shirt with ripped dungarees, black flat shoes and on a last thought, added a touch of Ankara with the scarf from this post.
We grow better when we have better knowledge they say. Alice talked about utilizing social media for better blogging and I have to say it’s knowledge I really needed as I can be somewhat not bothered when it comes to managing my social media accounts. She talked about her experience and how social media has helped her with her brand. She also told us to approach brands if possible as they are waiting for bloggers to work with. Just make sure your approach is good. Alice has worked with 360nobs, Tosin Bucknor and affiliated with Pulse Ng. Funmi Segun of Exclusive iCare Tv was also present to talk about photography and how important pictures are to blog posts. Deedee of Deedeesblog was also present at the event with his cameras to cover the event.
I got to meet Dami of The Shakara Girl, Grace of The Shanyi Life, Seun of Ordinary and Art, Lawunmi of Queen Lawunmi, Collins Badewa of The Street Haute, Ella of Natural Girl On A Budget and a lot of other lovely people.
What about refreshments you say? Lol there was a lot of yummy small chops and drinks. Mauve 21 lounge which was the venue is so comfy too. I got a goody bag which contains a skin product from Ewami Essentials, Moringa soap from Esty Essentials and other makeup products in the giveaway. Made a flatlay with the Ankara scarf because I’m cool like that lol.
Can’t wait for the next bloggers event. It’s so fun interacting with like minds. That’s how my weekend went. How did yours go? Have you been to any bloggers event before? How was it like? Halloween took place yesterday, how did you celebrate? The best part of posting here is getting your feedback and comments. What are your thoughts about this post?
Do tell a friend to tell a friend to check this blog out.

I really like this post and your blog.
You should consider a new header btw.
Thank you very much Seun. I have been thinking of changing the header. What do you think of the new one? Perhaps you could give some pointers?
I think this one is much better. If you plan on changing it again I’ll suggest one with a hand written vibe to it.
