Two Weeks Of Memories

Hi lovelies!
This post is a pretty long post so buckle up. The past two weeks have been so awesome. Had my first fever in this semester over the previous weekend. And college really isn’t easy at this part! These days I have to pray for motivation to go on everyday.

Two weeks ago, we had a street fashion week in school and I thought I’d showcase some of my designs. Procrastination really is awful. I didn’t know how fast the time had flown till the timetable for each group of fashion designer, photographer and makeup artist was posted. I was surprised! Like ‘Is it April already?’ 😳

Things really don’t go according to plan sometimes so always expect the worst. Work out a plan B and C just in case. My fever started on Friday and my shoot was supposed to be on Saturday. Woke up midnight to finish work on the outfits and I could barely lift my arms. Finally gathered a bit of strength and my sewing machine started acting up. I was so frustrated! Finally finished the outfits but I had to reschedule the shoot.

Two Weeks Of Memories

Thankfully, my models understood but the photographer intended for the shoot wasn’t even communicating. Had to call my friend who is a photographer too. I have to give kudos to him because he made me really happy and was super patient. Even though the Canon he shot with was not a big deal, I appreciate the fact that he turned up for me. The actual photographer did not even check up at all! Shout out to makeup artists! You guys do a great job. Even a close friend disappointed me but in all, God stood by me through it all. He really is wonderful!

Will be putting up the pictures of the outfits soon. Do this girl a favour by checking them out, placing a order and telling your friends too. Please? *puppy face* Thank you!

Last Friday, there was a model casting call in school for a fashion event coming up soon. Passed it up? Nope. I was there and I did walk. The model trainer was patient and really good. Plus I met people I have been following on instagram. Would be having a style collaboration soon. It’d be cool, trust me.

Yesterday, the ‘Out On A Limb’ walk took place in Ibadan and I was there. We walked from Trans Amusement Park to Bodija and then back to Trans. If you can’t give to charity financially, find other ways to. Your time, efforts or in this case your energy in walking. Kindly follow @theiredefoundation on Instagram to find out about this foundation which supports children with walking disabilities. Make a child happy today!

Chidinma of The Eclectic Archivist was my walking partner. I have known this girl for over two years now and I have to say she’s an awesome friend. We share so much in common too.

Quick tip: What do you do when your on-air personality crush is in front of you? Just keep calm and don’t freak out or gush. Approach him later and say hi. Steal a selfie if you can. Lolu Shomuyiwa of The Beat Fm really is all shades of cute and humbleness.

A love song I approve right now is I’m In by Klay (Kayode Okikiolu) who happens to be another OAP at The Beat Fm. His voice is so awesome and the lyrics of the song are cool. Love is awesome when you’re with the right person. You can download from sirkenayo.net

In all, I have learnt a lot from the past two weeks. Looking forward to more of what April has to offer. Just how awesome is Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ album. I’m in love with it. What have you been up to? Kindly comment below. Thanks!

Do tell a friend to tell a friend to tell even more friends to check this blog out. Thank you!

  1. Interesting post! Isn’t it annoying how our sewing machines just choose to act up when we need them the most?! I can’t wait to see the pictures of the outfits tho and the girl in the grey leggings almost looks like your twin
