Upcoming Nigerian Fashion Events

Been pretty stressed out and down over the past days which is why I haven’t put up a post since. How are you today? Good I hope. I talked about The Charity Fashion Show in a previous blog post and it is one of the upcoming Nigerian fashion events to look forward to.

The debut edition of The Charity Fashion Show is calling on designers, exhibitors and sponsors as organizers have announced March for the fashion showcase scheduled to hold in the University of Ibadan. Yes, the venue has been changed to the University of Ibadan.

Charity Fashion Show, a project of LFA House has been conceived and created with a vision to reach out to people in need through fashion and style and also promoting upcoming fashion designers in the industry.

The proposed annual event is expected to attract over 2,000 fashion insiders including buyers, retailers, local and international press, celebrities, models and guests. It will feature an exciting three day line-up consisting of Fashion talks/Seminars, Exhibition, Daily Sponsored After Parties and West Africa’s finest of both men and womenswear fashion showcase.

The Charity Fashion Show as one of the upcoming Nigerian fashion events is designed to provide the best tools for designers. As well as male and female wears manufacturers, dealers and service providers to get the exposure they require not just across Africa but on the international scene.

As one of Nigeria’s unisex fashion showcase, Charity Fashion Show’s core aim is to serve as a unique platform for discovering young and emerging designers and models from Africa to reach the fashion industry internationally.

Proposed as the leading unisex fashion event in Ibadan Nigeria, the Charity Fashion Show will act as the ending celebration of some of the most creative and talented designers across Africa. They will show their high-end ready to wear collection and exclusive pieces for the local luxury market, defining a pretty couture appreciated by the African elite. Already confirmed for participation in this upcoming Nigerian fashion events are some of the continent’s finest designers from various parts of the country.

The London Fashion Festival which was founded in London in 2012 has expanded to Africa and is also slated to hold on February 17 at Victoria Island. You can read more about it here
