Friday Fiction on a Tuesday? I know I know. Better late than never yes? My apologies. It has been rather hard coordinating
my life lately posting here. Dark Cloud is a story I found in my notes from 2016. Found a couple more stories I liked and might refine. Next fiction post drops on Friday unfailingly and perhaps a special longer treat? Hehehe. Other posts will go up on other days of the week. Cheers!
“Have you ever loved before?”
I asked him.
“Yes,” the reply was. He looked away when he said it.
“She left this world because of me.”
He reached out and grabbed me by my shoulders, eyes giving away his pain.
“And so will you if you don’t stay away from me.”
He shoved me backward and I tripped on the bottle of Fanta I drank earlier.
“Oh my God!” I heard him exclaim.
I smelled the blood before I felt the pain. Touched the back of my head which the broken center table was acting as a pillow for now and my fingers came back crimson red.
“Woww” I slurred.
A dark cloud slowly spread and covered my eyes. Then I fell asleep.
p.s I have a short humorous story about Jollof you may enjoy reading on Okada Books. It takes about 10 minutes to download and read. Do check it out and leave a review.
